When Davido released ‘Aye’ I had my doubts on if the song would be as big as his hit ‘Skelewu’, after the song has been on repeat for a long time and the reaction fans have been giving it, I can see that it's bound to be as big or even bigger than ‘Skelewu’.
Davido takes on a different approach to this music video and gives us something that we're not usually used to from him. The Clarence Peters montage was shot in a rural setting in Nigeria, and tells a tale of love between different classes.
‘Aye’ is the fourth single from Davido's forthcoming album and the video sees him playing a farmer who falls in love with the Prince's love interest. Prince is played by Davido's cousin and label mate - B_Red.
Loving this cultural video from Davido, definitely refreshing to see him play a different role in the video to ‘Aye’; Clarence Peters done a great job capturing that as well. ‘Aye’ was produced by T-Spice.
