Let's take a moment to appreciate Seyi Shay's beauty and her accomplishments this year alone.
The singer-songwriter has become the first ambassador the the Genevieve Pink Ball foundation, a foundation that supports the prevention and treatment of breast cancer.
Set to touch lives through her music with ‘Because We Care’, Seyi Shay penned the new song for the Genevieve Pink Ball foundation, with her interest in the foundation being inspired by a personal experience. Produced by London Boyz, the song was composed to give hope and courage to breast cancer patients.
Speaking on the Genevieve Pink Ball foundation, Seyi Shay said "To me, Genevieve pink ball means saving a multitude of lives from a fatal disease called breast cancer through love awareness and support. I made this song in support of the foundation." She went onto say "It's basically a prayer and I'm letting people know that we care and no matter what the circumstance is, we can be survivors and celebrate if we come together and support one another. Not letting or anything take away our happiness."
The lyrics to ‘Because We Care’ lets breast cancer patients know that they're not alone in the battle they're facing, Seyi sends out a positive message to patients, by singing:
"Because we care, anywhere you go baby I go follow you there
And no need to worry when you call me, I go hear.
No sickness and no disease it will never come near, amin"
Seyi Shay clearly pours her heart out on this one, from the lyrics to the beat - ‘Because We Care’ is sure to put a smile on ones face the second they press play on the song below! Enjoy!
