Drake Drops New Track ‘Summer Sixteen’, Announces April Release For ‘Views From The 6’

Listeners of Drake's ‘OVO Sound Radio’ on Apple Music were in for a treat when the Canadian rapper announced that he'll be premiering new music on episode 14 of the show on Saturday (30th January).

The announcement came 25 mins beforehand, when Drake posted on his Instagram page, the above photo and a caption that read: “World Premiere on OVO Sound Radio in 25 mins on @applemusic.”

As ‘Summer Sixteen’ took over the airwaves, fans took to their social media to express their excitement over the new Drake record, including singer Rihanna.

Drake raps in ‘Summer Sixteen’“I used to wanna be on Roc-A-Fella, then I turned into Jay / Now I got a house in LA / Now I got a bigger pool than Ye / and look man, Ye's pool is nice / Mine's just big is what I'm saying.” Playfully sending for his peers Jay Z and Kanye West.

Shortly after Drake dropped the world premiere of ‘Summer Sixteen’, he then took to the airwaves to announce that his highly anticipated album ‘Views From The 6’, is set to be released April of this year; with ‘Summer Sixteen’ being the first single off the long awaited LP.

Last year, Drake released chart-topping music, including his mixtape ‘If You're Reading This It's Too Late’ and single ‘Hotline Bling’, as well as collaboration mixtape with Future titled ‘What A Time To Be Alive’.
