Nas Performs ‘One Love’ and ‘The World Is Yours’ with Q-Tip and The Roots on ‘The Tonight Show’

Absolutely two of my personal favourite songs off of Nas' ‘Illmatic’ album - such a classic. 

Taking it all the way back to the 90s, Nas performed two of his classics ‘One Love’ and ‘The World Is Yours’ on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’. 

In honour to celebrate 20 years in the game, and the 20th anniversary of ‘Illmatic’, Nas will release a compilation entitled ‘Illmatic XX’ of unreleased material, remixes, freestyles from the 90's which all didn't make the cut on his album ‘Illmatic’.

Nas performed ‘One Love’ on TV with rapper Q-Tip who produced the song, as well as with The Roots, before performing an exclusive web video after the show had ended of ‘The World Is Yours’.

Rudimental: ‘Free’ (Remix) ft. Emeli Sandé & Nas + New Video to ‘Free’

Rudimental features the legendary Nas for a verse on their hit single ‘Free’, off their award-winning album ‘Home’. The song which originally features singer-songwriter Emeli Sandé has also got a new music video to it, listen to the song and the video both below.

New Music: J. Cole - Let Nas Down (Remix) ft. Nas #MadeNasProud

It was a big day for J. Cole over the weekend on Twitter - his idol Nas dropped the remix to his track "Let Nas Down", off his album Born Sinner.

The remix came as a shock to everyone including J. Cole where he tweeted "Today is special. Full circle moment. @nas it's on you" and even the hash tag "#MadeNasProud" ended up trending on Twitter. 

In the remix Nas let J. Cole know that he ain't mad at him and rapped about his struggle in the rap game coming up, and Nas even gives Jay-Z a shout out in the song. It's so good to see a legend humbly welcoming a new legend in the game.

Started from the bottom, now we here: Over the weekend Jay-Z hit up the studio with rapper Drake for a possible collaboration on Jay-Z's new album.

New York Dons: Jay-Z also hit up the studio with fellow New Yorker Raekwon. Raekwon put the pic on his Instagram page with the caption:

"Long time coming!!!! Hov x chef ... Much love to my dude Lenny S aka #kodaklens for making it happen!!! #ComingSoon"

Easy Breezy Music: Only God knows what Chris Brown and Jennifer Lopez were cooking up in the studio. Maybe an R&B song for her new album? Or a clubby one? R&B please!

The Future of Music: Yes! Yes! Jennifer Lopez once again hit the studio earlier this year with the future of music - Future himself. This will be an interesting collaboration...

East Coast meets West Coast: It's been a long time coming, long overdue in fact. It's about damn time Nas and Kendrick Lamar got into the studio together. I so look forward to hearing whatever it is that they come up with. Even if it's both of them just saying "hmm" it'll still be a hit! Lmao.

Backs against the wall: Rebellious Rihanna and Wale also got into the studio together. Rihanna posted the pic on her Instagram - this is also a collaboration that has been a long time coming. I know it's only magic that they'll come up with. Rihanna is rumoured to apparently be making an appearance on Wale's third studio album "The Gifted" which is out on June 25.

Wireless Festival: New Date Added! Justin Timberlake & Jay-Z 'Legends Of The Summer' Tour

Yahoo! Wireless Festival have decided to add another date to their annual two-day event held in London. With Justin Timberlake headlining on Friday and Jay-Z headlining on Saturday, now both JT & JayZ will headline Sunday's one together in honour of their 'Legends Of The Summer' stadium tour. Due to popular demand the festival will run from July 12-14, with an all-star line up of artists (check below).

Friday, 12 July: Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dogg, Trey Songz, John Legend, Miguel, Ke$ha, Wretch 32, Conor Maynard, special guest Frank Ocean, Iggy Azalea, Bingo Players.

Nas and Father - Olu Dara Jones Pose For 'GAP' Holiday Campaign

I have a very beautiful la familia.

My uncle Nas and his Dad, Jazz/Blues artist - Olu Dara pose it up for GAP Holiday Campaign.

The GAP campaign is based on 'love', their slogan "Love comes in Every Shade" shows that in their campaign ad (below). Nas and his Father feature in the ad as well.

New Video: K'La - Blame ft. Nas

Music Line/Def Jam artist - K'La has premiered the new video to her single "Blame" featuring labelmate Nas. 

K'La takes on a more old skool vibe in this song and video, flaunts her vocals. K'La has a more smooth/soul sound which is . K'La is working on her debut album under her record label.

K'La is one to watch for the rest of this year, as well as for 2013. She's just what the music industry needs right now!

New Music: Meek Mill - Maybach Curtains ft. Nas, John Legend & Rick Ross

Meek Mill is showing us that he means business with his first studio album Dreams and Nightmares. 

Featuring hip hop icon - Nas on his new single Maybach Curtains alongside John Legend and Rick Ross, Meek Mill takes on a more calmer tone with this new song. 

Meek Mill will be joining Nas at his gig at the O2 Arena on March 19th 2013 in London, this will be the first time that both artists grace the stage at the world famous venue as "hip hop takes over the O2". 

"Dreams and Nightmares" is out in selected stores and available to buy on iTunes on the 30th October of this year.

Singer Brandy who is prepping for the release of her debut album Two Eleven has been seen on the set of her video shoot to her single 'Wildest Dreams'. Brandy who has been in the studio working with some big names - Frank Ocean, Bangladesh, Sean Garrett just to name a few is set to release her album on the 16th of October of this year.



Family fun day out! Beautiful family Lala Vasquez and her husband Carmelo Anthony were spotted coming from their son Kiyran's modelling event in New York City. The family headed to City Crab, Kiyran who has been modelling for Jordan Kids has been doing well for himself - modelling here and there.Yes little man!!

SPOTTED! Reality show TV stars - Kyle Richards, Nene Leakes and Laura Govan were all spotted hanging together at Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Kyle Richards new boutique in Los Angeles, Kyle by Alene Too.  As much as I LOVE Nene, I am not loving this hairstyle.

Uncle Nas was spotted at the Henieken Red Star Access Philadelphia featuring at The Electric Factory  in Philly over the weekend where he was performing at. Alongside rapper Wale.

Now this is music, constantly on replay and one of my favourite songs off the Life Is Good album, Nas premiered the video to his single Cherry Wine featuring the late and talented Amy Winehouse. I'm loving this video, it's mellow and relaxed!

Mo's Artist of The Month: Nas

This shouldn't have come as no surprise whatsoever for my regular followers! 

Nas who is one of my Top 5 favorite rappers, just had to get acknowledged in my 'Artist of the Month'.

Nasir Bin Olu Dara Jones who has been in the game for 21 years (*please note that I wasn't even born when he started his career*) recently dropped a new album (last week - July 17th) entitled 'Life is Good'. The album has received numerous amounts of positive comments and from me the album is definitely a 9 out of 10. Making it his 10th studio album! My family be winning! 

Even after a nasty divorce to singer Kelis (one of hip hop's hottest couples) and mother of his first son, Nas has kept his music and appearances consistent, always giving his fans what they want and always delivering. In 2010 he teamed up with Damien Marley (son of the legendary Bob Marley) on a collaboration album 'Distance Relatives'. Nas went back to his roots with this album trying to find something good out of it, to "build schools in Africa". Great vibe and positivity coming from Nas there and an even greater album! Another album receiving great reviews from Music critics all over.

Even though Nas and JayZ have resolved their beef and are now friends, Nas' JayZ diss will always go 

down in History as one of the best disses and beef in Hip Hop. With songs like 'Ether' and 'H to the Omo'. I will always have respect for these two hip hop legends, beef or no beef.

Equally as good as a rapper, Nas is as good as an actor. The New York native starred in 'Belly', 'In Too Deep' and 'Hawaii Five-0' just to name a few. A biopic from Nas anytime soon? I hope so. Something that I will definitely watch. Something that I'd love to be a part of!
[Let's make this happen!! Lol].

I could go on and on about Mr Jones for days! Nas is and will always be an Hip Hop Icon to the Hip Hop and Music industry with every one of his albums minus 'Untitled' going PLATINUM (still yet to hear about 'Life is Good'). 

Nas will go down as one of the greatest in HISTORY! And I can definitely say that I've supported his music throughout!

New Music: Nas - Cherry Wine ft. Amy Winehouse

Produced by Salaam Remi, Nas featured the late and ever so talented Amy Winehouse on his new posthumous single 'Cherry Wine'. 

The soulful jam already is getting air played on radio in the UK, thanks to BBC Radio 1 who released the single last night. This track has this old school New York hip hop vibe/sound to it, taking you back to the late 80s/early 90s.

Nas who is currently on tour in Europe, is scheduled to release his debut album 'Life is Good' on July 17th of this year.

This new single, a posthumous collaboration got recorded before Winehouse's death, Nas always stated in interviews and on his twitter page how close they were and how they even shared the same birthday.

Uncle Nasir!

Premiered the video to his new single 'Daughters'. Nas portrayed his Father side in this video and I'm loving it, obviously Nas was talking about his daughter Destiny Jones in this song and video, aw bless.

Nas takes us on a journey with his daughter Destiny, from her 3rd birthday party to her grown this day; how she grew up from his little princess to his big princess, messing on social networking sites to hanging around with boys and even her graduation day.

And all that jazz!

Awwww. I loveeeee this song off of Nicki Minaj's latest sophomore album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded'.

I actually never thought that Nicki would do a track with Chris Brown for the most random reason, but now that she has it's such a nice song. 

Great choice putting Breezy on the track Minaj.

The sweet love song/lullaby featuring Chris Breezy, also stars rapper Nas. 

(Nas is also featured on this same album under the song 'Champion' alongside many other great artists)

The song is just everything a young girl falling in love would love to sing, this song is definitely part of my top 5 favourite songs off of 'Roman Reloaded'. 

Love the feature, LOVE THE VIDEO and even love the fact that it stars Nasty Nas in it. Check out the sexy but PG video below.

So, DJ Khaled has some new music out and this track is actually a tune. DJ Khaled has his way of putting artists together on a track to make it what it is, and how he wants it. We've seen him do this with "I'm On One" and others like "We Takin' Over" a mix and match kinda style. Also like that Chris Brown has blessed us with his vocals. I like.

THEE Nicki that I fell in love with in 2007 is back, small small though lol. She also portrayed this in the track above, the rawness that we like. Not all these gimmicks and the sh-t she's doing *rolls eyes*. I'm enjoying this track very much, on repeat.
