New Video: Kendrick Lamar - i

King Kendrick, how you've been missed. Mid-September Kendrick Lamar decided it was time for him to quench the thirst of his fans, by releasing his new highly-anticipated single ‘i’.

Quenching the thirst of some, and leaving others dry-mouthed with a sound from him that we're not usually used to, Kendrick has now unveiled the video to the record, that has grown on many.

In ‘i’, Kendrick Lamar let us know that he's not a rapper but a writer. The song which samples The Isley Brothers' classic single ‘That Lady’ is the official theme song of the NBA. Kudos to Kendrick for that, that cheque must be a hefty one.

Kendrick adds funk in his step as he dances throughout the video of ‘i’ in a remote neighbourhood, passing by cop cars in the streets, a couple arguing on their front porch and a suicidal man.

It's only right that Kendrick pays homage to The Isley Brothers in this happy-like video, which we see Ron Isley make a guest appearance and drives Kendrick back to the club where he first kicked off the music video.

‘i’ - the ultimate confident booster will appear on Kendrick's not yet titled, neither does it have a release date, third studio album.
