Rhodes Announces Debut Album ‘Wishes’ and New Single ‘Close Your Eyes’

Blessed with a voice stripped back, stop-you-in-your-tracks beauty, Rhodes releases his eagerly anticipated debut album ‘Wishes’ September 4th.

‘Wishes’ confirms the arrival of a major talent who has already been compared to artists as diverse as Jeff Buckley and Adele. The album is written entirely by Rhodes and produced by Rhodes and his long-term collaborator James Kenosha, with additional production by Drake producer Nineteen85.

Following the announcement of the new album, Rhodes also revealed the first single from the new LP, ‘Close Your Eyes’, a song about vulnerability and trepidation. Speaking out on the forthcoming single, Rhodes says “it’s about my fear of performing”. He continues on to say “I wanted to make this a little more ambiguous so I changed it to the third person and made it more about me talking to somebody else-when really it's me talking to myself.”

Rhodes is not one to ever disappoint with the body of work he releases, and always put his all into his performances - ever so much that his incredible cover of Taylor Swift's ‘Blank Space’ on BBC Radio 1, was retweeted by Taylor herself.

The heartfelt new offering from Rhodes, ‘Close Your Eyes’, is available to buy off iTunes on June 14th.
