So Solid Crew, Bonkaz, Newham Generals and More Announced to Perform at ‘Curbana’

Over the weekend Curbana Festival ‘a celebration of urban arts’ announced phase 1 of their line-up.

The team behind ‘Curbana’ spoke out on what the motivation is behind the festival. Read below:
The motivation behind Curbana and what sparked the initiative was the lack of respect for Britain's urban scene. Britain's urban culture was embraced on social media and on underground scenes but lacked a mainstream presence. After realising how many countless festivals there are for commercial and rock music like Glastonbury and Wireless, an idea for a solely urban festival emerged. We believe that urban sees no colour just creative innovation.

Headlining on the day are pioneers in the UK garage/rap scene So Solid Crew, joining them on stage are the OG'z - Newham Generals, man of the moment - Bonkaz, UK Afrobeats very own - Mista Silva and more to name a few.

Set to take place on August 1st at Willen Lake in Milton Keynes, Curbana ‘celebration of urban arts’, will be an annual outdoor event bringing together thousands of people to bare witness to a celebration of accomplishments, growth and innovation of the highly active urban arts industries: music, fashion, dance and the arts.

Phase 1 of the line-up includes: So Solid Crew, Flawless (dancers), Originators (OG'Z: Blacks, Little Dee, Jendor, Desperado & Stormer, Newham Generals, Big Nastie, Sir Sypro, Logan Sama), Bonkaz, Moelogo, The Compozers, Mista Silva, Section Boyz, Timbo, LDNC, Che Lingo, Orphgang, Saxon Sound, Pioneer, Supa D, Carlos Aeries, DJ Slick, Docta Cosmic, Ballistic, Nego True.
