With his single 'Getaway' just on repeat for days - Jarell Perry is gearing up for the release of his anticipated debut album, Simple Things as he unveils the album cover and tracklisting. 'Simple Things' will be available for free download on March 18 via his website: JarellPerry.com. Perry does not shy away from his talented voice - but delivers with powerful vocals and raw emotions - all inspired by personal life experiences. The 'First Time' singer has also done a cover to Semi Precious Weapons' 'Aviation High' which will also feature on his album.
Perry only has a handful of features on his LP - Thurz, Nacho Picasso, Locksmith and Torae, who have all helped his album become great in one way or another, which we see in the 14-track-tracklisting below. The Los Angeles based singer-songwriter crosses musical genres by incorporating traditional/contemporary R&B, Electro-Pop, and Dubstep all for this new album.
"Simple Things is the truest introduction to myself to the world. Musically, I'm exploring all of the sounds I'm a fan of right now, from indie-acoustic to dubstep and chill-wave. Lyrically, I wanted to capture some basic human emotions that can't always be explained in a love song. Those are the simple things I want people to take away. Every song describes a certain moment - take, eat, it'll be the soundtrack to your life."
