Mic Righteous: Boosts Reading & Leeds Festival Line-Up

Man of the moment Mic Righteous has been added to the line-up of this year's Reading & Leeds Festival, with the in-demand rapper a must-see performer this Summer.

The Margate MC is enjoying the success of his Open Mic E, which has spawned hits such as 'Ghost Town' and latest single 'Up All Night', the video of which premiered on the VEVO homepage last week and has already been added to the daytime rotation playlist of MTV Base. 'Up All Night' has also been playlisted on Q Radio, and with spins by legendary tastemaker Zane Lowe already a BBC Radio 1 playlist addition is imminent.

Mic's mainstream breakthrough has been accompanied by some energetic live shows, with his passion on wax more than matched on stage. The Open Mic E launch party at Camden's Barfly was sold-out well in advance of the February date, and tickets and selling fast for his birthday show on May 24th at The Garage, Islington.

The summer is capped by Mic taking to the 1Xtra Stage at the UK's famous dual festival, with his Reading performance on Saturday 24th August followed by a Leeds show on Sunday 25th. He will be in the company of hip-hop acts with fellow critical and commercial acclaim, including Devlin, Giggs and Action Bronson.

The May Islington headline show - hosted by Poet of GRM Daily and BBC 1Xtra - sees Mic Righteous supported by Dot Rotten, Ard Ardz & Sho Shallow, English Frank, Tarek and Geko. With time running out to get tickets, grab yours now at www.seetickets.com/event/mic-righteous/the-garage/693013
