Last week the MAVINS unveiled their highly-anticipated to their single ‘Dorobucci’. Led by Don Jazzy, the single features Reekado Banks, Tiwa Savage, Dr Sid, Korede Bello, Di'Ja and D'Prince.

Shot on location in South Africa, the Nick Molotov-directed visuals captures each artists definition of the word ‘Dorobucci’ and even features a cameo appearance of the winner of the Channel O MAVIN super-fan competition.

It's Just Mobolaji has teamed up with an amazing t-shirt brand that goes by the name Mr. Garbe for this one off competition.

Mr. Garbe is a UK based label, established in 2012. The brands aesthetics is solely based on African history and modern African culture. The aim of the brand is to inspire change and influence the current African generation to make it better for the upcoming generation.

The ‘Icon’ tees are seven designs made of seven famous icons from Nigeria who have helped shaped Nigeria to make it what it is now. The seven iconic people are MKO Abiola, Wole Soyinka, Chinua Achebe, C. Odumegwu Ojukwu, Sani Abacha, Ken Saro-Wiwa and Fela Anikulapo Kuti. 

Stylist and creative designer of the brand Bella Adeleke speaks on the brand saying "in their own field, and in their own way they're the reason why we have the Nigeria we have now in some sort of way, and they should not be forgotten." The icons on the tee are transformed into what they would look like in this generation with snap backs, chains, spikes on their jackets - making it very urban and chic to wear.

The ‘Celebration’ tees are tees with numbers on the back i.e. 'Ikoyi 01' like the ones photographed above. The numbers represent the niatel codes (which have been discontinued) of the different states in Nigeria.

August Alsina and Nicki Minaj have been teasing us on Instagram and other social media platforms with a collabo that's been in the works.

Nicki lays down some bars on the remix to August's ‘No Love’, originally off his chart-topping #1 album ‘Testimony’. Saying it as it is in her verse, Nicki replies to August letting him know that she ain't like the other girls and can give him the love he's looking for even though he's anti-love on this track.

August Alsina and Nicki Minaj's chemistry is clear on the song - can't wait for more collaborations from the pair in the near future.

Introducing... Yemi + New Single ‘Soyoyo’ ft. Jacob

It's always exciting hearing about new talent that emerge on the scene. Hailing from the R Entertainments camp presents Yemi - a cute and super talented singer/songwriter on the come-up.

Tinashe Performs ‘2 On’ on The Wendy Williams Show

Singer Tinashe took to the Wendy Williams stage to perform her hit single ‘2 On’ earlier today. The 21-year-old has been making her rounds on radio, conquering the airwaves and headlining her own shows across the States, and will even take to London's XOYO stage to headline her own show next month (further details below).

Tinashe's debut album ‘Aquarius’ will feature the DJ Mustard produced joint, as well as unreleased material featuring A$AP Rocky, Future, will also see production from the likes of Mike WiLL, Dev Hynes, Boi-1da and will be released this September via RCA Records.

Tinashe will be headlining her own show at London's XOYO on August 26, tickets are currently sold out - but hopefully another batch will be released. [XOYO]

[Trailer] - New Video: MAVINS - Dorobucci

Jam-packed into 16 seconds is the official trailer to the highly-anticipated music video to ‘Dorobucci’, from the MAVINS.

The music video sees Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Dr Sid, D'Prince, Korede Bello, Di'Ja and Reekado Banks all appear in the Nick Roux-directed clip set to premiere on Channel O Africa on July 22 at 12noon (Nigerian time). 

Shot in South Africa, head boss of The MAVINS took to his Instagram page to announce the premiere of the video with the caption stating: "#DoroAnnouncement The official video for TheMegaSuper hit record #Dorobucci premieres tomorrow on @ChanelOAfrica at 12:00pm NG time. Let's go!!! #MAVIN #323 #WeUp".

The song on it's own is huge, from seeing people make up their own dance moves to it, and doing their own covers - a contestant who auditioned on the latest season of Project Fame West even done his own rendition of the song, which made it's way around social media within hours since it hit the web - watch HERE.

Having been vocally compared to artists such as Chris Brown and Trey Songz, British R&B singer/songwriter Abel Miller has unveiled his latest project which he calls his best work to date, his brand new EP entitled ‘A Million’.

Miller has spent months in the studio recording and writing for ‘A Million’ and perfecting each song on the 5-track-EP. 

Abel Miller's EP comes at perfect timing for the summer days and nights, with songs like ‘Beautiful’ - an upbeat number that sets the mood for a summers day and ‘Lights Out’ and ‘Riding For Me’ - two more subtle and calmer songs to round up the summer nights.

‘A Million’ is the first release from Miller since his last EP ‘Make You Love Me’ released over a year ago.

Abel's last single ‘No Gentleman’ was playlisted on BBC 1Xtra with support across Capital Xtra and all specialist stations across the UK.

Three of UK's most talented MC's, and Ari join together again for Scorcher's ‘Work Get It’. The Wretch 32 and Mercston assisted track which premiered back in May on the Mistajam show, is the first track to be heard off Scorcher's forthcoming EP ‘1 of 1’.

And it's finally here - sorta. Wiz Khalifa has unveiled the album artwork, tracklisting and release date for his third studio album ‘Blacc Hollywood’ on Atlantic Records. Photographed above is Wiz in his element blowing out a puff of smoke in the black and white album artwork.

‘Blacc Hollywood’ is the follow-up to his 2012 sophomore studio release ‘O.N.I.F.C.’ and is set for release on August 19.

Beats by Dre have teamed up with the amazing new band from Manchester - Rixton on their debut single ‘Me and My Broken Heart’. The track released this week is already causing a stir and has a already gone to Number 1 on iTunes and finished Number 1 on the Big Top 40.

This film is the third in the Beat by Beat series which demonstrates what great musicians Rixton are, their ear for a riff and how they collaborate to get to the final master piece. The film also highlights the lads cheeky banter and how being in Rixton is like being on a lads holiday in Aiya Napa, but all the time.

Wizkid Announces Headlining UK Tour for September 2014!

Shortly after the announcement of Essex Fest being cancelled, Wizkid has announced his own UK headlining tour scheduled for September 2014. 

It's been two years since Wizkid hit the stage for his own headlined show in the UK at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo. April 2014 saw him as a special guest at label mate Tinie Tempah's UK leg of his ‘Demonstration’ tour alongside duo Krept & Konan. 

The announcement only comes with two dates so far for London and Manchester, and no opening acts or special guests have been announced either. Wizkid's UK fans have been brewing with excitement following this announcement; hopefully his sophomore album comes before the tour kicks off.

[Trailer] - New Video: Zamir - Normal Dubz

King Zamir is launching his first official music video for ‘Normal Dubz’, a track that was released mid-February.

For those who missed it, Yung L.O.S. rebranded as King Zamir earlier this year, to kick- start his solo project, where ‘Normal Dubz’ is his first official single release.

The music video was shot by Duks of DuksArt, and includes some unexpected and elaborate special effects! Without giving too much away in the trailer, the official video will be released on July 17.

Converse CONS Project London - Journey Through LDN Sounds 002: Bass Culture

Converse CONS have been bringing us here in London an exciting couple of weeks. Keeping up with the momentum they'll be holding a few Journey Through LDN Sounds parties spread throughout the month.

On June 28th Converse CONS kicked off the first Journey Through LDN Sounds party celebrating the best of the UK's Jungle, Drum & Bass and Garage scene with Fabio & Grooverider, Foundation (Sticky & Scott Garcia), Kasra and Zed Bias who were all on the lineup. And picking up from where they left off - July 12th will see them focusing on the UK Bass music talent pushing forward the current sound of London.

New Music: Chris Brown - New Flame ft. Usher & Rick Ross

Picking up from where he left off in 2013 with ‘Loyal’, Chris Brown has debuted his brand new single ‘New Flame’. 

Breezy previewed a 15-second-snippet of the new single on his Instagram account days before its release and is to appear on his forthcoming ‘X’ album, set for a later 2014 release; after being pushed back from May.

The 25-year-old who performed at the BET Awards on Sunday with Tyga and Lil Wayne enlists Usher and Rick Ross on ‘New Flame’ who both spark things up on the Count Justice produced single.

Breezy, Usher and Rozay all aren't afraid to set ablaze a new relationship and start a new thing, or ‘New Flame’ as they like to call it.

Front man of TripleMG Iyanya and his talented label mates - Tekno, Emma Nyra, Baci and Selebobo have premiered the video to their lead single ‘Say Yeah’. Off their debut compilation album ‘The Evolution’ which they released May ending.

The video to ‘Say Yeah’ portrays TripleMG's star quality lifestyle and the impact they have on their fans across the world. Shot in Nigeria, and directed by MattMax - The Made Men Music Group are really starting an evolution with their music.

2014 BET Awards: Winners [Full List]

On Sunday evening in Los Angeles at the Nokia Center, the 2014 BET Awards took place and boy, was it eventful. Stars graced the red carpet in their best dressed, whilst there were pre-show performances from Tinashe, French Montana, Rick Ross, Meek Mill and DJ Khaled to name a few. 

Model/stylist Karrueche Tran hosted the official BET Digital live stream and done an okay job especially as it was her first time, and as she's not a presenter. The night was hosted by comedian/actor Chris Rock he kept guests entertained all night with his jokes and banter, some of which I hope no one found offensive - especially Rick Ross. And just like the Oscar awards he took a leaf out of Ellen Degeneres book and handed out food, this time not pizza but the popular Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles.

Chris Brown, Pharrell, Missy Elliott, Nicki Minaj, all performed on the night - with powerful couple Beyoncé and Jay Z closing the night with a pre-recorded performance of ‘Partition’ accompanied with a whole new opening verse from Jay, as they are currently on their ‘On The Run’ tour across the States.

Beyoncé, Pharrell and newcomer - August Alsina all won big at the awards as they bagged two awards each. Kerry Washington lost out to Lupita Nyong'o who won 'Best Actress' and first time nominees - African act Davido, and UK duo Krept and Konan won 'Best International Act' in their respected categories.

Jhené Aiko and Wizkid to Headline ‘Essex Fest’

Festival season is upon us and ‘Essex Fest’ are doing it big this year with it all. The music festival brings together great music, entertainment from emerging talent to some of the music industry's most popular acts all whilst raising money for Prostate Cancer UK.

The small in stature US artist Jhené Aiko and Afrobeat artist Wizkid will both be headlining the two day event. With Aiko taking to the stage to close the event on Saturday 19, July and Wizkid taking over on Sunday, 20 July, 2014.

New Video: Burna Boy - Don Gorgon

Last week Burna Boy dropped the teaser and the full length version to ‘Don Gorgon’ - his latest single, and now he has finally unveiled the full length video.

Clearly inspired by the 2013 film ‘The Great Gatsby’, Burna takes it to South Africa to shoot the music video to ‘Go Down’ produced by Spellz.

Burna Boy continues to whet our appetites with his back to back bangers, this time with an old school Dancehall flavour to it. Directed by Godfather Productions - watch the vintage like music video below.
